Eligibility Criteria

The MM2H program provides a renewable visa with durations ranging from 5 to 20 years, and has several criteria for eligibility - listed below.

Dependents Allowed Spouse, parents, parents-in-law, [children, step children, adopted children (all below 35 years old)]. No age limit for disabled children. Same gender marriage not allowed. Children must be unemployed and single in Malaysia.
Minimum Stay Requirement (Age below 50) Below 50 years old – main and dependents can add up to 90 days per year. Every year, no accumulation at the end of the 5-year period. One year starts from date of visa issuance on passport. If main applicant is above 50 years old, every applicant is exempted.
Maximum Fixed Deposit Withdrawal Maximum 50% on a reimbursement basis for property purchase, medical expenses, education and domestic tourism in Malaysia only. Purchase/Expenditure must be made AFTER the issuance of visa on passport, NOT BEFORE. For PROPERTY PURCHASE only, property bought two years before endorsement of the visa can be used as the 50% withdrawal.
